The Shengquan Spring Park lies in the east of Quanshuiyu Village, Dahuashan Town. Further east is the main peak of the Dahua Mountain, which is 755.8 meters above sea. The name Shengquan comes from a sacred spring flowing for thousands of years. The ruins of Shengquan Hut suggest that its location has excellent geomantic omen.

The hut, surrounded by thick forests, looks like a dragon 1.5 kilometers long, and the mountain where it was built looks like a turtle. During the rainy season, spring water flows down the cliff and forms a spectacular waterfall, falling into a brook 500 meters away from the front of the hut. To the south of the hut stands a mountain shaped like a penholder.

Near the Shengquan Hut flows a perennial spring with a daily water flow of 50 cubic meters. The water is clean and tastes good. A legend says in ancient times a woman walked a long way to find her husband, who had been forced to build the Great Wall. When she passed this spot, she was so exhausted and so sad that her eyes became misted with tears. The local people told her to wash her eyes with the spring water near the Shengquan Hut and after doing so, she found she could see everything clearly.

She went down on knees to pray and her tears fell into the spring, making the water clearer and taste better. The spring water does not change in temperature throughout the year. Nor does it form any sediment. To drink the water without boiling it will not cause diarrhea.
